Served 20 years in the Australian Army, deployed to South Vietnam in 1967 as an aircraft maintenance technician, and part time helicopter pilot. Following my military service, I was employed in defence contracting, involving heavy maintenance on RAAF aircraft. I retired aged 55 due to ptsd sustained in service in Vietnam. I met my wife while serving in Malaysia in 1969 and married in May 1970. We moved back to Australia in September 1971 and settled in Perth in 1977. My wife passed away on 02 September 2023.
